The Pregame is a test-phase tool by Mettle Performance Inc. that helps sports parents find the right resource for the moment they’re in. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and who sees it.
When you use the chat
We log your conversation — what you type and the landmark (season phase) you select. We also log AI-extracted signals from your message (sport phase, themes, pressure patterns) and whether a match was found. This is stored as a session record. We do not link it to your identity unless you provide an email elsewhere in the session.
If no match is found and you submit the request form
We collect: a description of your moment, your situation, what you’re looking for, your sport, your athlete’s age or grade, and optionally your name and email address. Email and name are voluntary.
If you confirm a match and provide your email
We collect your email address and the matched issue number so we can follow up with the full PRE read.
We use your data to route your message to the right PRE issue, to improve the issue library by reviewing unmatched sessions, and to send you the PRE resource you asked for if you provided an email.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties except as described below.
Anthropic
Your messages are processed by Claude (Anthropic’s AI) to extract routing signals and generate the match explanation. Anthropic does not train on API data. Their data handling is governed by their privacy policy.
Supabase
Our database. Session logs and request form submissions are stored in a Supabase-hosted database in the US.
Vercel
Our hosting provider. Standard web request logs (IP address, browser, timestamp) are handled by Vercel per their privacy policy.
We retain session logs and request form submissions indefinitely during the test phase for product analysis. When the test phase concludes, we will define a formal retention policy. If you want your data removed before then, email us.
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Email robert@mettle.coach with the subject line “Delete my data” and we’ll remove your records within 7 days.
This tool is designed for parents. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
